Purpose:  

Asthma is a condition that affects the airways, which are tubes that carry air in and out of the lungs. The main purpose of this study is to try to understand how the small airways in our lungs play a role in asthma. This will be done through different assessments including blood sampling, physical examinations, pulmonary measurements, questionnaires, bronchoscopy, etc. Your participation in this study will last 12 months, with a minimum of 4 clinic visits (maximum of 5 clinic visits) and two phone contacts.

Eligibility: 

Individuals who are 18-65 years of age who either have a diagnosis of asthma or do not have a diagnosis of asthma may be eligible to participate in this study.
