CARE-The Childhood Asthma Research and Education Network
Because asthma is the most common chronic childhood disease in the United States, the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute in 1999 founded the Childhood Asthma Research and Education (CARE) Network to evaluate treatments for children who have asthma.
The Arizona Respiratory Center is one of just five CARE Network clinical centers nationwide. Studies included under the CARE Network include Prevention of Early Asthma in Kids and Characterizing the Response to a Leukotriene Receptor Antagonist and an Inhaled Corticosteroid.
