Professional Education
Arizona Clinical Research Training Program
Participants in this innovative, multidisciplinary training program develop the fundamental skills required of clinical researchers through didactic coursework and collaborative mentored research. Such skills improve the ability of new clinical investigators to develop hypotheses and prepare proposals that will lead to support for their research.
This postdoctoral program integrates the knowledge and expertise of faculty and staff from the University of Arizona's Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, and Public Health, which comprise the state-of-the-art Arizona Health Sciences Center. The team-oriented approach provides an opportunity for clinician scientists to gain fundamental clinical research skills in a collaborative learning environment.
After completing the program, participants have the confidence and ability to develop sound research proposals that will garner critical financial support from such resources as the National Institutes of Health (NIH), foundations, and other funding organizations.
