How to Make a Gift
Planned Giving
With proper financial planning, you can improve your immediate tax status and your future financial situation while also making meaningful and much needed gifts to the Arizona Respiratory Center. Many planned giving options are available to meet varying needs, including providing you with income, helping you avoid capital gains taxes, and reducing your overall tax liability.
Some gift plans—such as a Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Gift Annuity, or Pooled Income Fund—allow you to make a gift to the Center while continuing to receive income from your investment. With a Charitable Lead Trust, your gift distributes income to the Center for a designated period of time, after which the principal is returned to you or your designee. A Stock Transfer can reduce your capital gains taxes, and a Bequest to the Center can reduce your estate taxes.
The Development Office at the Arizona Respiratory Center, in conjunction with the Planned Giving Office at the University of Arizona Foundation, is happy to work with you to coordinate your tax-deferred gift. Please consult your own legal, tax, and financial advisors with regard to your personal situation.
