GRADS Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency


Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency is a genetic condition that predisposes to early onset pulmonary emphysema and airways obstruction, often indistinguishable from usual smoker's chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The purpose of this study is to study the air way and lung microorganisms in people with Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency or individuals in the carrier status and the inflammatory response.
