Assistant Professor, Epidemiology


Eyal Oren, PhD, MS is Assistant Professor in the Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health (MEZCOPH, University of Arizona). His research group focuses on community-engaged approaches to addressing population health disparities. He is an epidemiologist interested in infectious disease and social determinants of health, with an emphasis on respiratory outcomes and is particularly interested in working with multidisciplinary, innovative new tools and technologies to improve outcomes for those living with respiratory disease.

Dr. Oren was awarded a Career Development Award from the University of Arizona to examine the relationship between asthma and stressors among adolescents. He has also received funding through ALA and PIMSA to examine adherence to LTBI medication in at-risk populations and to study latent tuberculosis infection screening among migrant workers on the border, respectively.
